Two-day meeting of DBS and Klaes in Ahrweiler
"Synergy in partnership" was the theme at the first annual meeting with DBS after the floods and coronavirus. The managing directors of Klaes, Miriam Berzen and Lars Klaes, as well as Kalle Welsow from DBS, welcomed the teams from both companies to Klaes in Ahrweiler at the beginning of November.
On the DBS side, it was the two teams that look after the joint Veka and Gealan customers and set up and maintain the master data. On the Klaes side, it was the main contacts from sales, application technology, product management and development.
The agenda reflected the successful and extensive cooperation that KLAES and DBS - and previously the Veka IT team - have built up over the years. Thomas Stermann, Klaus Northoff and Stephan Kurz focussed on the many recent joint projects, the closely interlinked customer service and the comprehensive update services for master data and material prices.
Kalle Wellsow provided insights into current DBS products and future developments. On behalf of Klaes, Stefan Müller and Achim Binder contributed current market information such as market shares and the distribution of product lines, as well as the expectations of joint customers. New products and further developments were presented by Robert Hodits (Assembly Planning), Thomas Busch (Alu plus) and Dennis Marner (Klaes e-prod).
The meeting concluded with an active exchange on the partnership and cooperation between DBS and Klaes in order to continue creating added value for both sides. The unanimous conclusion: The close and successful cooperation will be intensified and the annual rhythm will be resumed in order to continue the success story with the partnership synergy.
