Quality and reliability from France
Klaes on the job – Part 11
Based in Hésingue, Menuiserie Bader is a family business with almost 70 years of experience. Since the early 2000s, the company has invested in high-quality machinery and a machining centre to meet increasing customer demand. Last month, Sébastien Jantzem (Sales France) met with Cédric Goepfert (Commercial Director of Menuiserie Bader).
During a joint interview, we learned many interesting things about the company.
1. Can you give us a brief overview of your company?
Menuiserie Bader is a family business based in Southern Alsace with about 30 employees. We produce and market windows, French doors, doors and sliding windows in wood and wood-aluminium. We have a turnover of 4.6 million with commercial customers throughout France.
2. What are the special features of your windows/doors and window production in your country?
For about 15 years, we have focused the development of our product ranges on thermal and acoustic performance. For example, we manufacture very large sliding windows and fire resistant windows with PV E30 and EI30. Since 2017, we have also been manufacturing windows certified by the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt. We also place great emphasis on quality and reliability in our carpentry work.
3. What are the biggest challenges for you in the window business?
Our challenge is to stand out and make ourselves known in a highly competitive market in Europe. We therefore target niche markets rather than volume markets. All the investments we have made in recent years are also aimed at increasing the automation of our manufacturing process. In 2022, we have just invested in two Cefla painting robots.
4. What is most important to you when working with Klaes?
We have been working with Klaes since the early 2000s. Thanks to this long-standing partnership, we can now benefit from a computer network and PPS software that are perfectly tailored to our needs and production. Quotations, order confirmations, delivery notes, invoices and customer payments are created with Klaes. Production is also controlled with Klaes for the optimisation of the edging throughput, the control of our production line WEINIG Conturex and the production tracking with Klaes e-prod. The users have direct access to the information at their workstations via Klaes e-prod terminals. In summary, the great advantage of Klaes is the centralisation and access to the data, which avoids inputs and errors. Finally, Klaes ensures the security of our data with regular backups that allow us to get back up and running as quickly as possible in the event of a computer crash or hacker attack.
Thanks for the great insight! Do you still have questions?
