Microsoft SQL Server 2012 support ends in July
The support period and thus the life cycle of Microsoft products is usually around 10 years. After that, the software is obsolete as development continues to advance.
The support for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 will be discontinued on July 12th, 2022. What does this mean for users and companies?
Once the end of support has been reached, no new security gaps and bugs will be eliminated. No more updates are offered, not even security updates. New features and performance improvements are only integrated in the current versions and no longer in SQL Server 2012.
Therefore, companies should update their system to the latest technical standard as soon as possible, because an outdated database creates a security gap that can have fatal consequences for the infrastructure.
The termination of SQL 2012 also affects many customers of Klaes and Systemschub* from Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. So that the customers of the successful IT company are on the safe side, the customers are called and informed in detail about the different options.
Then the IT experts can support in updating all SQL Server 2012 database systems - for more security, performance and digital transformation.
